What to do with your bonus hour this leap year
Spring ahead and enjoy longer days with daylight savings time.
Have you ever thought yourself, if I only had an extra hour…. Well your wish is granted! This Sunday March, 13 is officially when we turn the clocks ahead. We will gain an hour of more daylight to enjoy.
As the days get longer, there is so much to do and see in the wonderful city of Charlotte. Here are just a few.
Grab a bike and ride
You don’t have to own your own bike to enjoy a spring ride through the city’s beautiful park and green-way system. Thanks to Carolina’s Health Care System, there are bike rental stations all throughout the city. It’s only a few bucks and as you ride you get to take in so many of the cities breathtaking views.
While you’re riding along you can stop at the farmers market on Kings and Morehead. There you will find farm to table options that are sure to expand your horizons. It’s one of the few ways to actually speak with the hard working people who grow our food.
Yoga in the park
As long as we are trekking through the city, why not stop for some free yoga. Not many people have realized yet that there is a free yoga class in Romare Bearden Park on Tuesday evenings from 5:30pm to 6:30pm and on Saturday mornings from 9am to 10am.
Get a massage
With all of this physical activity, you’re sure to have some tight muscles. Massage is a great way to aid in your muscle recovery and flexibly. Palestra Boutique Spa has just the solution. Treat yourself to a 1 hour massage and relax those sore areas away.
